I found the hotel to be comfortable with some necessary updates, but my room was unfortunately situated above a noisy machine room overlooking the car park. The hotel is conveniently close to the city center and offers free parking, although it lacks a quiet zone ambiance.

I had a pleasant stay overall at this hotel. The rooms were comfortable, but unfortunately did not have air conditioning. The breakfast refund was a nice touch, although I would have preferred a refund for the room itself.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms were well equipped and had lovely views towards the river, but I was woken up by a cleaner at 9am on check-out day, which was a bit inconvenient. The room was unbearably hot, and only a noisy and ineffective fan was provided.

The hotel room needs an upgrade, and there was no fan in the bathroom. However, the location alongside the service lane to the pub was surprisingly quiet. The service at the Caversham Premier Inn was friendly, and parking was free, especially on a Saturday pre-Christmas. The hotel is ideally located close to River Spice and other restaurants, perfect for my needs. The dining experience was pleasant, with an excellent Continental buffet and cooked-to-order English breakfast. The hotel facilities were satisfactory overall.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were clean and generally comfortable, but one of our party found the room cold and thought the air conditioning was not working correctly. The view over the fields to the Thames was nice, but being situated directly above a machine room with a compressor starting at 03:45 in the morning was a downside.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were classic Premier Inn in terms of size, quality, and cleanliness with a view over the fields to the Thames.
Service
8.0
The service was very friendly and helpful, although I encountered a pile of insect bites during my stay.
Location
9.0
The location was spot on for me, with free onsite parking and only a couple of minutes drive from the center of Reading. Additionally, being within easy reach of the center and motorway network makes it ideal for a stopover.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was good, and I appreciated that the meals were cooked to order. However, I would have preferred more vegetarian and vegan dish options.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were adequate, but the early morning noise from the compressor room affected my overall stay.
